Leighton Jones
Leighton's passion for broadcasting began while he was still at school, spinning records and presenting his very first shows on hospital radio.
Early Beginnings
Leighton discovered his love of radio as a schoolboy, gaining invaluable experience behind the microphone on hospital radio.
Commercial Radio
In 1992, he made the move into commercial broadcasting, becoming a familiar voice on two of South Wales' most iconic stations: Swansea Sound and The Wave 96.4 FM.
On Screen
Leighton later brought his distinctive voice to television, spending seven successful years as one of the main continuity announcers and the recognisable voice of ITV Wales.
Back to the Beats
Today, Leighton has returned to where it all began—radio. With a lifelong passion for music and a genuine connection with his listeners, he is delighted to bring decades of broadcasting experience to the team at WCR.
