Smithy

Smithy was just 11 when he started to DJ at his local church youth club. He had his first decks built for him at 13, before working at the legendary Harpers nightclub in Swansea and Paradise in Pontardawe by the time he was 16. Whilst enjoying residencies at Barnums and Baileys in Llanelli he also played all over Wales with his own roadshow. The big break on The Wave came in 2004, which led to co-hosting Saturday Breakfast with Mark Powell for 7 years. Smithy then presented a hugely popular morning programme on Swansea Sound until 2016 and now he gets to do it all over again on Welsh Coast Radio
